Profile
After working as a wedding planner, then in sales and as a director at a web marketing company, and in childcare in Australia, she joined HAMABO. Drawn to work that supports local manufacturing while taking on new technology, she is now HAMABO's first female sales member, handling AMR sales, drone piloting and marketing.
Q.1
Please tell us about your current work and your role.
Delivering robots and drones to new customers, while also taking on marketing.
I mainly handle sales of AMRs (autonomous mobile robots), together with our drone business and marketing work. Many of my new customers are in manufacturing and logistics, facing challenges such as labor shortages and the need to improve transport efficiency. I support them consistently from considering an AMR to designing how it will be operated, proposing the best way to use it for their site. To bring HAMABO and our new products to more people, I also work on raising awareness through the web and trade shows. While finding ways to explain the appeal of our products and real examples clearly through flyers, web pages and email campaigns, I am also building my skills as a drone pilot for inspection work.
Q.2
What do you think makes HAMABO distinctive?
Understanding the customer’s site carefully and creating proposals that genuinely help, together. That is the HAMABO style.
For me, HAMABO is characterized by two things: an attitude of staying close to the customer to solve the real problem, and a culture in which each person takes responsibility and works proactively. Robots are products that require careful consideration before installation. Rather than simply selling a product, we value understanding the customer's site and the situation of the people working there, and thinking together about how it can genuinely help. Actually visiting the site and making proposals that go as far as how the system will be operated is a strength unique to HAMABO. Internally, each of us takes responsibility for our own work and is trusted with a wide scope. Even when everyone is busy, it is easy to ask for advice, and we support each other as a team. That is also part of what HAMABO is.
Q.3
"Bridging the present and the future."
What kind of future does your work build a bridge to?
Robots and drones change how people work on site. Beyond that, they support the future of manufacturing.
I believe the robots and drones we handle are important in solving social issues such as labor shortages and an aging workforce, and in supporting manufacturing from here on. My work is not to sell products but to face the site and challenges of each customer and propose the best way to use them. I believe each of those proposals changes how people work on site and leads to a safer, more efficient environment. In addition to sales, I want to keep offering value from many angles, through marketing and as a drone pilot, contributing to solving challenges and creating value, and delivering that value to more and more sites.
