Bringing an AI perspective to the manufacturing site.

Profile

In his previous role he supported corporate digital transformation using generative AI and AI agents. He joined HAMABO because he felt he could put his AI and DX perspective to work here, where proposals combine factory automation, robots, drones and image processing to address challenges such as labor shortages, safety measures and automation at manufacturing sites. He is also drawn to an environment where Japanese technology can be taken to overseas markets.

Q.1

Please tell us about your current work and your role.

From business development and marketing to project managing trade shows. I keep moving to solve challenges on site.

I cover four areas: business development, sales promotion, marketing and new business development. With industrial robotics such as AMRs and drones at the core, I work on marketing operations including introducing marketing automation tools, running landing pages and websites, email campaigns and designing trade show content. I am also working to optimize the whole sales process as one flow, from generating leads to meetings, orders and follow-up after installation. At trade shows I take part as project manager, but rather than simply creating customer touchpoints, I see them as an opportunity to rethink how the HAMABO brand is presented. I want to communicate the value that only HAMABO can offer, adding engineering functions to trading functions, to all stakeholders and grow together with them. Internally I am also involved across the company in the AI adoption project and in introducing and supporting IT tools.

Q.2

What do you think makes HAMABO distinctive?

Facing the site with the same intensity. Getting seriously involved in technical trial and error is what HAMABO is about.

When I attended a trial cutting session for metal machining, we stayed with the work until eight in the evening, far beyond the planned schedule. Testing one hypothesis after another on the spot, I felt first-hand the determination to improve machining accuracy and shorten cycle times. That attitude of being in sales and still getting seriously involved in technical trial and error on site felt like HAMABO at its most characteristic, as a company that supports manufacturing. As a factory integrator, HAMABO can propose layouts and system configurations for automated lines. To understand what customers really need, we communicate closely and frankly, and we do not stop at answering requests: we bring robots to the site and run demonstrations. Searching for the best answer together while facing the customer's challenges has taught me a great deal.

Q.3

"Bridging the present and the future."
What kind of future does your work build a bridge to?

One meeting, one robot, becomes a step that connects Japanese manufacturing to the world.

What I felt while working in AI and DX in my previous role is that introducing technology is not the goal in itself; it creates value only when it fits the challenges on site and the work of the people who use it. My role at HAMABO is to take the technologies and products of manufacturers in Japan and overseas and deliver them in a form that can actually be used at manufacturing and infrastructure sites. A single meeting at a trade show, a single lead, a single AMR or drone can become the trigger that solves challenges such as labor shortages, safety measures and automation. While valuing the knowledge and instincts of the site, I want to combine factory automation, robots, drones and image processing into proposals that are genuinely easy to use and deliver results people can feel. Building that up step by step is, I believe, progress toward the future HAMABO wants to create.
