HAMABO Becomes a Liberaware “Gold Partner” – Launching Inspection Services with the IBIS2 Indoor Inspection Drone
HAMABO Co., Ltd. (head office: Chuo-ku, Hamamatsu, Shizuoka; President and Representative Director: Keita Uematsu) is pleased to announce that it has become a “Gold Partner” under the distributor program of Liberaware Co., Ltd. (head office: Kawasaki, Kanagawa), which develops and manufactures IBIS2, an industrial drone specialized in inspecting narrow, dark and hazardous indoor spaces. With this, HAMABO will begin offering inspection services using IBIS2 in the Chukyo area (Aichi, Gifu, Shizuoka, Mie and Nagano prefectures).
In manufacturing, aging equipment and a shortage of people to inspect it have become major challenges. As an engineering trading company rooted in the Chubu region, HAMABO has helped customers solve their challenges in a wide range of fields, starting with machine tools and industrial machinery. By starting to handle IBIS2, we can now offer new solutions for inspecting narrow spaces and the inside of piping, which until now required visual inspection by people or aerial work platforms.
Although IBIS2 is compact, measuring about 20 cm square and weighing 243 g (including the battery), it can fly inside pipes as small as about 50 cm in diameter. It makes it possible to inspect spaces that people could hardly enter before, safely and efficiently.
We will continue to contribute to the development of regional industry by proposing solutions that use the latest technologies for the equipment management and maintenance challenges our customers in the Chubu region face.
